Review of Financial Information

From time to time the firm is requested to conduct a review assignment of the financial statements of an enterprise. While the review assignment is not as stringent as a full audit, the firm follows strictly the guidelines laid down by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand for these assignments.

In all cases, a letter of engagement spells out the scope of the work to be carried out in a review assignment. The firm and its team members are familiar with the requirements of independence and integrity associated with such an assignment.

Special Projects

From time to time the firm is requested to carry out special projects on behalf of the clients. These usually take the form of:

•Valuations of shares or of businesses for estate planning purposes, matrimonial property agreement purposes and sometimes in the matrimonial property disputes.
•Assistance and advice to clients seeking additional capital or loan funding including the preparation of applications for such funding.
•Assistance and advice in assessing business opportunities which the client has identified for possible business acquisition. This could include a review of the financial position of the business available and the assistance with the forward planning incorporating the proposed acquisition of that business.
•Advice on fair value of a business which a client is interested in acquiring.
•Advice on employment contracts.
•Tax dispute representation.
